Sjordi Finlayson is the author behind Lucky and Som, two curious cats whose adventures support shared reading, early language discovery and calm, screen-free creativity.

The Lucky and Som books are inspired by a true-life friendship. Lucky is the black cat who lives with Sjordi and his family, while Som is the orange cat from next door. The two often meet outside and set off on adventures together, returning home late at night and sometimes disappearing for days before wandering back. Their real-life escapades became the heart of the stories in the books.

The collection brings English together with Thai, Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese through illustrated stories, playful activities and familiar characters that children can revisit across several books.
